Singapore River Safari - Cute Red Pandas

In our several visits to the River Safari Singapore, Almond B and I didn't quite have the chance to see the two Red Pandas agile and in action.

We got to say that we were probably not there at the right moment...

'Cos we always saw them like this:

Well, one fine day in October last month, we finally chanced upon them up and about!=)

One of them especially, was very active.

It was walking up and down the tree branches, looking very alert and always glancing down curiously at us, the spectators standing right below, who were also glancing back at them, equally curiously.

Very cute ~~ =)

Hope to catch them in action again the next time we visit them! =)

Pilot Fever - Triumph in the Skies II

The Lion City has caught on the pilot fever!

"Triumph in the Skies II" premiered in Hong Kong on 15 July 2013, amist much anticipation as "THE" one to uplift the "low-downs" lately in Hong Kong TVB dramas. The 43-episode series has ended in Hong Kong in September 2013, and the pilot mania has now blown into Singapore's shores, even before it is broadcasted on our national channels. Friends and people around me are talking.. and still talking about it.

Following the sweeping of several awards by "Triumph in the Skies II" including the "My Favourite TVB Drama" award and "Singapore Media's Favourite TVB Drama" award in a local TVB award ceremony recently, the first season of "Triumph in the Skies" was brought back to the small screen in October, on a paid cable channel. While the first season is being 'replayed', "Triumph in the Skies II" started airing shortly on 21 October 2013. And this was after it was shown on a video-on-demand channel. Which means to say, we have both Season I and Season II airing at the same time! This is probably a testimony that it is "Singapore Media's Favourite TVB Drama" =)

I guess, it is really nostalgia that brought Almond B and me to Season II. And it is not too difficult to see why the previous Season I is such a much-remembered, well-loved classic TVB series. The insight into the life of aircrew(pilots especially) and airport ground staff, camaraderie between the many characters, the beautiful sceneries, and above all, the theme song by Eason Chan - classic of all classics, and the on-screen sparks created by Francis Ng (as "Sam"), Myolie Wu (as "Zoe"), Joe Ma (as "Vincent"), and Flora Chan (as "Belle"). Some may even remember that it was also the time when Francis Ng's role of Sam Tong created sensations with his "avant-garde" hairstyle. Now, ten years on (the well-used publicity tagline), Season II is finally back.

For the scope of this entry, I would just like to share that the one thing I felt distinctive about Season II, is the many lovely songs/music used throughout the series. Personal favourites are Lam Fung's "On my Way", Mark Britten's "Forever", Adele's "Make you feel My Love" and Peter Marsh's "Stop the Clock".
